Munjal P. Patel, M.D.

Dr. Munjal P. Patel was raised in New Jersey. It is here where he received his Bachelors of Arts degree in Biology in 1995 at the prominent Rutgers College, where he graduated at the top of his class. He then obtained his medical degree in 1999 from the highly respected UMDNJ - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Following graduation, Dr. Patel went to New York to pursue training in both general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery at the world renowned New York-Presbyterian Hospital. At the hospital’s Cornell and Columbia campuses, Dr. Patel worked with some of the most highly skilled surgeons in the country. Also, during this time, he obtained additional reconstructive and cosmetic surgery experience at the prestigious Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, and Lenox Hill Hospital.

In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Patel has conducted significant basic science and clinical research related to plastic surgery. He has presented at regional and national meetings and published scholarly articles in cosmetic, reconstructive, and hand surgery.

After his training and initial practice in New York, Dr. Patel returned to establish practice and settle his family in central New Jersey. His clinical interests include aesthetic surgery, breast surgery, reconstruction following cancer treatment and traumatic injuries, as well as hand surgery.
